Schloss Mannheim
Mannheim Baroque Palace, Schloss Mannheim, offers a spacious conference venue. It is large enough to accomodate plenary lectures, parallel sessions, and halls for posters and exhibitors alike. The charming baroque style interior invites for intensive scientific exchange.
Schloss Mannheim is within short walking distance to Mannheim Central Station.
Explore the conference venue with its halls and rooms yourself. Have a virtual walk as you scroll down the page to make your tour from the gand Foyer to Rittersaal and Gartensaal, proceed via Katakomben and Aula in the University wing of the buildings, and finish your way in a seminar room. So you will immediately feel familiarized upon your arrival.
Entrance, Foyer, and Staircases
You will be entering the Schloss via the central entrance hall, the foyer, and find generous staircases leading up to the first floor and Rittersaal. Just walk across the foyer and enter the Gartensaal located on the opposite side.
Rittersaal
Having arrived at the first floor level, you may enter the Rittersaal, in fact an ostentatious hall for letures.
Gartensaal
On ground level, just opposite of the main entrance, you will find the Gartensaal with a bit more of a modern appeal. The spaceous room will be used for lectures.
Katakomben
The Katakomben are reached via another entrance into the buildings. Walk back from the main entrance across the square, head to the right and enter the Katakomben, essentially the basement of the Mannheim University building. The Katakomben will host posters and exhibitors and are also passed when walking to another auditorium, the Aula.
Aula
The Aula presents the largest of the lecture halls available during our conference. It has a more modern ambiente and will be the venue of the plenary lectures and award ceremonies. It is located on the first floor, essentially above the Katakomben inside the University wing.
Dozentenzimmer
Finally, the Dozentenzimmer exemplifies one the the smaller rooms that will be available for workshops or board meetings, for example. This one is located adjacent to the Aula.
