Abstract submission for the 58th DGMS Annual Conference will open in late autumn 2026. Please stay tuned.
Abstract Guidelines
(preliminary version; may be subject to changes until Abstract submission opens on Nov. 1, 2026).
- Conference language is English.
- Your abstract submission thus needs to be in English. Both British or American spelling are acceptable. When drafting your contribution, please ensure correct spelling and grammar, and use gender-neutral and diversity-sensitive language.
- The length of the abstract is limited to 3,000 characters. Please use only common acronyms. Terms must be written out in full the first time they appear.
- The abstract needs to follow this structure: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
- Contributions will be published as submitted; there is no proofreading service.
- Once submitted, contributions may be edited until the deadline for abstract submission. The decision on whether to accept or reject an abstract and its placement in the programme will be made by the scientific committee based on the review results.
- Presenting authors will be informed of the decision in January 2027. Organisational details will be communicated directly to the authors.
- To present your paper during the conference, you must register for the conference during the early bird period and pay the registration fee by the deadline.
- The submitter declares that all authors named have consented to their names being cited, including their respective affiliations, in connection with this abstract. Accepted abstracts will be published in the abstract book, which will be made available in a password-protected section of the website. By submitting the abstract, the authors give their consent to the publication of the contribution. The submitter declares that this submission is free from any third-party rights that might prevent its publication.
